Summary

: |
Responsible for achieving assigned product revenue goals by providing product specialized sales leadership to the account teams and local Sun partners. This individual contributor sales position is responsible for driving the sales engagement within the assigned territory and focused on positioning and selling Sun's product technology and end-to-end solutions. Components are systems technology and add on software components. This position needs to work in very close relationship with account management with the Country Management.
Able to build credibility with a customer's middle and executive management team, by articulating a developed understanding of their business issues and the positive impact of Sun's products & solutions.
* Provide product sales expertise with good understanding of IT end-to-end solutions. Emphasis on Systems x64 Products and Solutions with the associated Project & Services Engagements
* Responsible for defining and driving the systems sales strategy within assigned territory, to achieve the product goals and project service revenue in both installed base and competitive displacement
* Responsible for all aspects of the product pipeline management (opportunity identification through close)
* Supports account planning and forecast business for the Systems x64 Products and Solutions in the assigned territory
* Supports the local business by rolling out market initiatives with account management and Sun channel partners
* Develop and implement business plan and strategy to extend the overall Systems x64 Products and Solutions business for Sun in the assigned territory
* Deliver timely and accurate updates, reports and escalation to management
* Provide management level support / intervention to close major deals
* Foster strong alliances and relationships with internal and external partners and other SMI business units (especially ISO and GSE)
Qualifications and Experience
-----------------------------
* At least 10 years of industry experience in direct sales in the NEP territory
* At least 7 years sales experience in the IT Product/Service industry
* Good understanding of local IT market - knows System Integrators and ISVs, their offering and major application vendors in particular customer industries
* Good track record in selling systems, consulting and integration services, based on a business oriented argument chain
* Experienced in developing business; i.e. apply marketing communication and partner enabling initiatives
* Experience in account and customer relationship development, price negotiation and risk & bid management, e.g. Target Account Selling.
* Strong leadership, partnering, collaboration and relationship management skills are critical in this role
* Display high levels of energy and drive, thrives under pressure, with strong business acumen, business orientation, strong verbal and written communication skills
* Experience in particular industries of targeted growth is an advantage
* fluent LOCAL LANGUAGE and English.
