Summary : Summary
=======
This leadership role has overall responsibility for business and financial management, business operations and alliances/partner management functions covering Sun Services – Greater China. It is accountable to the GSU Executive to achieve overall P&L goals of revenue, costs and contribution margin through the financial and operating performance of each of the services Lines of Business, namely Support Services, Managed Services, Learning Services and Professional Services, developing services delivery alliances strategy, building and overseeing a network of delivery suppliers which include subcontractors and vendors to expand our service delivery geographic and skills coverage in achieving global service excellence at a competitive cost base.

This role drives the business planning, analysis and execution of key business initiatives jointly with country management teams to achieve financial and operational health and growth in the targeted business areas as per medium and longer range plans.

This senior role is in effect a business advisor, executor and delegate to the GSU Executive for Services Delivery – Greater China to cover all matters of commercial, financial and alliance management importance to Services delivery's charter.

: Major Activities/Responsibilities
=================================

a)Drive annual MRP planning and negotiation process to achieve realistic and executable financial targets and plans at the GEM level. Lead the decomposition of these higher level goals/plans into country and LOB specific goals and implementation plans.

b)Manage the P&L reporting and controls for all services LOBs.

c)Engage sales and finance teams to understand and prepare good quality P&L forecasts on a regular basis for updating APAC/global management.

d)Overall owner and driver of Diagnostic Control System (DCS) metrics. Regularly monitor and report on the status of the key business metrics. Consolidate root cause analyses and get well plans from country and functional teams on below plan metrics.

e)Perform business profitability analysis, operational efficiency, cost effectiveness and identify issues and follow up with improvement plans.

f)Communicate, educate and influence sales and other function groups on services delivery financial and operating strategies, models, plans and processes to achieve maximum alignment and collaboration.

g)Analyze impact of new strategies/programs/initiatives to the services business and advise senior management as appropriate.

h)Instrumental in driving business practices, guidelines and processes to ensure their consistent execution across Greater China.

i)Assist GSU executive in review deal business cases for exceptional approval.

j)Assist the GSU Executive on implementing business compliance and governance actions.

k)Co-own with services practice, services marketing, functional and country management teams the development of a focused services offering portfolio to guide resource/skills investment and deployment.

l)Drives business management system and controls to ensure that regular operational reviews and audits are conducted in a planned and timely manner with accurate updates, reports and escalations to senior management.

m) Develop strategies and business models to expand our geographic and skills coverage using a highly optimized partner leveraged delivery model.

n)Drive and oversee country-level services delivery partnering program implementation and governance.

o)Represent Greater China as the GSU lead and focal point when interfacing with regional and global Services Alliances functions.

a)Internally, interacts primarily with management responsible services practice, delivery, sales operations and finance at Greater China and country levels.

b)In the Services Alliances management capacity, will interact with Partner Sales management at Greater China and country levels.

c)Externally, may interact with delivery suppliers at CxO, senior and middle management levels.

a)GSU leadership role requiring minimal direction or supervision from direct manager.

b)Provide leadership on quality management area to country and field teams.

Critical Competencies and Skills for Success
============================================
a)Detailed planning and execution skills. Ability to take strategic directions and translate them into detailed execution plans.

b)Process and methodology. Drive strong delivery and quality processes and methodology adoption and compliance to standards and policies. Basic understanding of Sigma methodology essential.

c)Executive communications and presentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently at senior executive levels in boardrooms, customer/partner meetings/presentations, large/small group meetings, seminars, marketing events and other public forums.

d)Conflict management. Tactful and diplomacy in managing complex and sensitive customer and partner issues especially when in critical and high pressure situations.

e)Business and financial management skills. Good working knowledge/skills in understanding P&L and how the financial impact of quality and project delivery issues and decisions.

f)Report writing skills. Ability to write excellent and concise reports tailored to all levels from senior management down to technical engineering staff.

Qualifications
==============
a.Preferably 12-15 years of IT industry experience, including at least 3 years of services management experience in a professional services/consulting/ support services organization, preferably with a major IT or computer vendor.

b.Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent. MBA preferred.

c.Proficiency in English and Mandarin essential.
